Today we go to the beach, and to one of the most luxurious hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab.
On the sea, the famous island of Palm Jumeirah is artificially built. The best way to see it is from the air. If you enter within your budget you can hire a helicopter tour to fly
over Dubai, and if it isn’t, if you are lucky just like us, you can see
it from your plane.

The beach was, much to my regret, my big disappointment. Maybe my expectations were too high, because seen in photos it looks like a paradisiac beach of fine white sand. Nothing is further from reality.

First
I have to say that in Dubai there are only three public beaches, and we
went to one of those (maybe that was our mistake).
Surely on a private beach (a hotel or a club) we would have been
quieter, but we chose Umm Seqeim Beach because in theory it was where
the hotel looked best.

The
sand seems gravelly construction (and it may be something like that,
because I remind you that everything here is artificial).
The water is quite dirty, many things floating and is not at all
transparent, I tell you, we recorded a hundred videos with the Gopro and
I think we can’t see any.

To this we have to add an overwhelming heat, no shade (or rent
umbrellas) in the surroundings, and the fact that, because it’s
so
tourist, buses of excursions constantly stop to make the typical photo.

To
be perfectly honest, we had booked an entire morning to spend on this
beach, and when we saw the panorama we got up camp and headed back to
the hotel pool.
So are the things…

I
chose a brown Massimo Dutti dress that is already a few years old (I
borrowed it from my mother’s closet), and a scarf on the head.
The bikini, like most of the ones I have, is from Calzedonia. I find it very comfortable, I really like its design and also its quality is usually great.

Here you can see some general recommendations to take into account
before traveling to Dubai, and in the previous posts I have already
talked about the old area of Dubai and the desert.

I hope you like it, lots of kisses!!!
