Lo prometido es deuda, y ya sabéis que yo siempre cumplo mi palabra!
Con este post doy por inaugurada la guía de mi viaje a Praga, como siempre hago os contaré en este primer artículo los aspectos básicos de la estancia, así como aquellas cosas que considero que debéis saber antes de ir o a vuestra llegada!
Empezando por el idioma, en Praga hablan checo, aunque la mayoría de las personas que os encontraréis manejan el inglés (es cierto que en esta ciudad, pese a lo turística que es, nos encontramos a más personas que no sabían inglés en relación con otras ciudades como pueden ser Viena o Budapest). En cualquier caso no os agobiéis, la comunicación por lo general suele fluir.
Los enchufes allí son los mismos que tenemos en España y la moneda es la Corona checa. Al igual que pude comprobar en mi viaje a Budapest, os recomiendo cambiar en el centro de la ciudad, en el aeropuerto y en los bancos españoles vais a perder bastante dinero, y de todas formas es mejor que os informéis en la propia casa de cambio. A la fecha de nuestro viaje (mayo de 2018) por 20 euros nos dieron 480 coronas checas, hay una pérdida de unas 35 coronas, un euro con poco.
Muchos restaurantes permiten el pago en euros, pero normalmente hacen el cambio de la forma que más les conviene y podéis salir perdiendo bastante.
Para llegar a la ciudad desde el aeropuerto nosotros pedimos un Uber. Me gusta cuando hay estos servicios en las ciudades porque no me tengo que preocupar de nada, saber de antemano cuánto te va a costar y te deja en la puerta de tu alojamiento. También tenéis otras opciones, como autobús, metro, taxi e incluso transfers que van desde el centro de la ciudad hasta el aeropuerto.
Dónde alojaros. Creo que tuvimos la suerte de quedarnos en la mejor zona de Praga sin ninguna duda. Elegimos
los apartamentos Charles Bridge Residence, su dueña Lucie nos estaba esperando a nuestra llegada y se preocupó de que todo estuviera bien durante nuestra estancia.
Nuestro apartamento era un ático con vistas al famoso puente de Carlos y al castillo de Praga (son las panorámicas que podéis ver más abajo), contaba con todo lo necesario: dormitorio, zona de estar, comedor, aseo y cocina totalmente equipada ah, y wifi, eso siempre es importante jaja. En el mismo edificio hay más apartamentos, con capacidad para albergar a más de dos personas, y todos tienen las vistas tan maravillosas que os enseño en este post.
La ubicación era totalmente estratégica porque estábamos cerca de todos los lugares de interés de la ciudad, tanto es así que ya os adelanto que no tomamos ningún medio de transporte, hicimos todas las visitas a pie. Aunque si no tenéis tantas ganas de caminar siempre podéis recurrir al metro, tranvía, taxi o Uber para moveros por la ciudad.

comida es algo que, según el lugar, me cuesta un poco, aquí también había por todas partes kurtos, esos hojaldres de los que os hablé
en este post sobre Budapest. Al final no me comí ninguno, pero tenían pinta de estar más ricos que el que probé.
Tengo que resaltar, porque me impresionó bastante, la cantidad tan tremenda de gente que había. No os podéis imaginar la rabia a la hora de hacer fotos!! Era misión imposible conseguir una instantánea en la que no salieran 200 personas detrás de mí. La ciudad me ha encantado, pero es cierto que este es un aspecto que no me ha gustado tanto porque había momentos en los que te sentías agobiada.
Tuvimos mucha suerte con el tiempo, aunque anunciaban alguna tormenta tuvimos sol todos los días (salvo tres gotitas que llovió un día) y bastante calor. Para el primer día elegí un top de mangas con volantes de estilo vintage, pantalones mom jean y sandalias. No quería ponerme este top con un cinturón, porque me parecía que mataba de alguna manera ese aire retro que tiene, así que decidí definir la cintura con un pañuelo!
Llegamos el jueves sobre las ocho de la tarde, así que aprovechamos para cruzar el puente de Carlos mientras disfrutábamos de la puesta de sol y seguimos caminando hasta la plaza de la ciudad vieja. Para nuestra desgracia una vez allí comprobamos que el reloj astronómico estaba en obras de mantenimiento y así seguirá hasta junio de 2018, así que ya tenemos una excusa para volver a la ciudad!
De aquí nos fuimos a cenar (muchas me preguntáis por sitios para comer, en esta ocasión elegimos el Hard Rock porque nos encanta!), y vuelta a cruzar el puente para irnos a descansar! En el próximo post os contaré sobre nuestras visitas del viernes.
Ah, un consejo, cuando viajéis, aunque llevéis sólo equipaje de mano, os recomiendo que a la hora de aterrizar no perdáis de vista vuestra maleta, si no puede que tengáis la misma mala suerte que yo, y una señora se lleve la vuestra confundida (y no, las maletas ni eran iguales ni se parecían). Al final por suerte todo se quedó en una anécdota y una pequeña aventura por Barajas Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez, ahora hasta me río, pero en el momento…

With this post I give the guide of my trip to Prague, as I always do, I will tell you in this first article the basic aspects of the stay, as well as those things that I think you should know before you go or when you arrive!
Beginning with the language, in Prague they speak Czech, although most of the people you will meet are fluent in English (it’s true that in this city, despite being touristy, we met more people who didn’t know English in relation to other languages. cities such as Vienna or Budapest). In any case don’t get overwhelmed, communication usually flows.
The plugs there are the same as we have in Spain and the currency is the Czech Crown. As I could check in my trip to Budapest, I recommend you change in the city center, in the airport and in the Spanish banks you are going to lose a lot of money, and anyway it is better that you inform yourself in the house of change. At the date of our trip (May 2018) for 20 euros we received 480 Czech crowns, there is a loss of about 35 crowns, one euro with little.

Where to stay I think we were lucky to stay in the best area of Prague without any doubt. We chose the Charles Bridge Residence apartments, their owner Lucie was waiting for us upon our arrival and she cared that everything was fine during our stay.
Our apartment was an attic with views of the famous Charles Bridge and Prague Castle (they are the panoramas that you can see below), had everything you need: bedroom, living room, dining room, toilet and fully equipped kitchen, and wifi, that’s always important haha. In the same building there are more apartments, with capacity to accommodate more than two people, and all have the wonderful views that I show in this post.
The location was totally strategic because we were close to all the places of interest in the city, so much so that I already told you that we didn’t take any means of transport, we did all the visits on foot. Although if you don’t have as much desire to walk you can always use the metro, tram, taxi or Uber to move around the city.
You know that tasting food is something that, depending on the place, it costs me a little, here there were also kurtos everywhere, those puff pastries that I told you about in this post about Budapest. In the end I didn’t eat any, but they looked richer than the one I tried.
I have to highlight, because I was quite impressed, the tremendous amount of people there were. You can’t imagine the anger when it comes to taking pictures! It was mission impossible to get a snapshot in which 200 people would not come after me. I loved the city, but it’s true that this is an aspect that I didn’t like so much because there were times when you felt overwhelmed.
We were very lucky with the weather, although they announced some storm we had sun every day (except for three droplets that rained one day) and quite hot. For the first day I chose a sleeve top with vintage style ruffles, mom jean pants and sandals. I didn’t want to wear on this top with a belt, because it seemed to me that it somehow killed that retro air that it has, so I decided to define the waist with a handkerchief!
We arrived on Thursday about eight o’clock in the afternoon, so we took the opportunity to cross the Charles Bridge while we enjoyed the sunset and we continued walking to the square of the old city. For our misfortune once there we found that the astronomical clock was under maintenance and will continue until June 2018, so we already have an excuse to return to the city!
From here we went to dinner (many ask me about places to eat, this time we chose the Hard Rock because we love it!), and back to cross the bridge to go to rest! In the next post I will tell you about our visits on Friday.
Ah, a tip, when you travel, even if you only carry hand luggage, I recommend that at the time of landing don’t lose sight of your suitcase, if you can’t have the same bad luck as me, and a lady take yours confused (and no, the suitcases were not the same or looked alike). In the end, luckily, everything remained in an anecdote and a small adventure through Barajas Airport Adolfo Suarez, now I even laugh, but at the moment…
